Housing Consumer Education Centers

These centers are affiliated with the Massachusetts Nonprofit Housing Association, and provide a wide variety of housing assistance, services and information to low- and moderate-income state residents. They say, 'If you have a housing question, your local consumer education center has the answer" - so take them up on it.

Community Action Programs (CAPs)
Community Action Associations (CAAs) and Programs (CAPs) were set up 30 years ago by the federal government to fight poverty through self-sufficiency. Because one of there major functions is advocacy - along with emergency crisis assistance, and nutritional and educational aid - talk to the CAP nearest you about your situation to see what help they can provide.
